About the role
Rhino Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to work on Phase 1 of a new build substation project.
The role will involve carrying out setting out and general surveying works across the site, using Total Station, GPS and other surveying equipment to establish and maintain accurate levels, coordinates, grid lines and site positions. Duties will include setting out trenches, duct runs, foundations and other elements of the substation build, checking levels and dimensions, carrying out as-built surveys and providing accurate information to the site team.
Use of drones would also be beneficial where available, although this is not essential.
The project will run through to Christmas, with the opportunity to return and continue work in the New Year.
Rate: £450–£500 per day
Start: TBC
Duration: 4 Months
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer
- Experience using Total Station and GPS
- Own surveying equipment
- Own PPE
- Employment references
