I have a great Head Chef position available at a highly funded boarding school in South East London. This is a Monday to Friday role with core hours being 7am to 3.00pm. The contract is for 48 weeks per year and 40 hours a week. Overtime will be paid at an hourly rate. This is a pro rata salary of £42,500 a year.

This Head Chef role will provide fresh meals for the main Restaurant and a Retail Grab and go as well as some hospitality and events. You will lead a team of 4 Chefs and 2 Kitchen Porter's. This is cooking for around 400 including students and teachers.

The Head Chef will provide fresh progressive menus with sustainability and plant-based products which are popular choices amongst Students. You will write your own menu on a 3-week rolling basis changing twice a year. A good knowledge and understanding of social media would also be a benefit to fully utilise all advertising channels available.

We are looking for a Head Chef who has experience in retail and events to bring an exciting new space to life. Previous Education catering experience would be a plus for this role as well as Head Chef experience. You will need to be confident in the back-office functions as well as the cooking. This can be from within a Catering Company or School.

The Head Chef will need good people management skills, Financial Awareness as well as all H&S training and allergen awareness. A Cleared enhanced DBS will be required for this role
