The Opportunity

Nine Twenty Technology is delighted to be partnering with an established, highly respected organisation in Glasgow to recruit a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure and Microsoft 365 specialist to join a collaborative IT team and play a key role in the organisation's continued cloud transformation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking a leading technical role in the management, security and development of the organisation's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

• Deploying and configuring Microsoft security technologies, including Defender, Purview and Entra ID.

• Supporting the transition towards a fully cloud-native infrastructure, reducing reliance on traditional on-premise systems.

• Implementing Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels, data classification and information protection policies.

• Managing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), virtual servers and associated cloud infrastructure.

• Strengthening identity and access management through Entra ID, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.

• Supporting cloud security, governance, compliance and vulnerability management.

• Contributing to infrastructure automation, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.

• Providing technical expertise and occasional hands-on end-user support as part of a close-knit IT team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft technology expertise and a particular focus on cloud security.

Essential experience:

• Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management and cloud security.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and associated security technologies.

• Experience administering Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking and storage.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory, hybrid environments and cloud migration.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable experience:

• Microsoft Purview, including information protection and data classification.

• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

• Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.

• PowerShell, Azure CLI and infrastructure automation.

• VMware, Kubernetes and networking technologies.

• Cisco and Meraki networking solutions.
