Multi Skilled Engineer

ProMatch is supporting our client, a proud employee-owned seafood business based in Alness, in the recruitment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

This is an opportunity to join a business where engineering plays a vital role in operational success. You'll work across production facilities, helping to maintain equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Conduct testing, repairs and maintenance safely and effectively
• Identify root causes and implement preventative solutions
• Maintain accurate records using the CMMS system
• Liaise with and oversee external contractors
• Support site services including heating, ventilation, lighting and plumbing
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
• Mentor and support engineering apprentices

What We're Looking For

• Engineering qualification such as a Modern Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or equivalent
• Multi-skilled engineering experience with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production environments
• Ability to read electrical drawings and carry out electrical testing safely
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach

Experience of HNC Engineering, 18th Edition regulations and refrigeration systems would be advantageous.
