About the Firm

This established independent firm of Chartered Accountants specialises in delivering comprehensive audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory services to private clients, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and owner-managed businesses across the UK and Europe. With a proud history dating back to 1937 and a talented team of over 30 professionals based in Leeds, the practice prides itself on fostering a friendly, social, and supportive workplace culture where internal promotion and continuous professional development are actively championed.

Responsibilities

As an Audit and Accounts Assistant you will:

• Undertake statutory audit assignments as part of a collaborative, wider audit team.

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105 alongside drafting corporation tax computations.

• Get involved with occasional ad-hoc advisory work, including business valuations, tax planning, and due diligence assignments.

• Assist clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks.

• Provide proactive support and advice to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.

What You’ll Receive

• Competitive salary of £15,000 to £29,000 per annum depending on experience.
