Energy Analyst

What is the role? At enfinium, we’re leading the way in turning waste into low‑carbon energy — and we’re growing. We’re looking for a driven Energy Analyst to help maximise the value of our 350MW Energy‑from‑Waste portfolio, support with energy market analysis, risk management and commercial activities, and play a key role in shaping the UK’s energy transition.

What will you be doing

Working closely with our Commercial, Finance and Operations teams, you'll support a range of activities including:

• Analysing energy markets and commercial performance data
• Supporting energy trading, settlements and contract management processes
• Assisting with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), private wire agreements, REGOs, CfDs and heat contracts
• Providing insight to support budgeting, forecasting and business planning
• Working with operational teams to analyse generation forecasts and plant performance
• Supporting Capacity Market activities and regulatory reporting
• Monitoring developments in UK energy markets and policy
• Assisting with the commercial assessment of new opportunities and projects
• Building effective relationships with key industry stakeholders and suppliers

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and turning analysis into meaningful business insights.

You may already be working as a Commercial Analyst or Business Analyst or have gained significant analytical and commercial experience through your degree, placement year or early career.

We're looking for:

• Up to 3 years' experience in a Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role
• Knowledge of, or experience in, the UK energy sector
• A degree in a business, economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, energy or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
