About the Role

Heart Teaching is seeking a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to work across SEN schools in the Ashford area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with communication needs. You’ll deliver personalised interventions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support staff in implementing effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose students with communication difficulties/disorders

• Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes

• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals

• Train and advise staff on communication strategies

• Stay informed on current research and therapy best practices

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy

• HCPC registration

• Experience with SEN pupils and speech/communication challenges

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Organised, empathetic, and proactive approach

• DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
