Power Platform Consultant
3-6 Month Contract
The Opportunity We are supporting an established organisation undertaking a key digital transformation project and are seeking an experienced Power Platform Consultant to help modernise operational processes across the business.
 
The successful contractor will lead the transition from manual and document-based processes into a scalable, mobile-friendly Microsoft Power Platform environment. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will analyse existing workflows, design and build digital solutions, and ensure internal teams are equipped to support and develop the platform beyond the initial implementation.
 
This is a hands-on assignment that requires both technical capability and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Review existing paper-based, Word and manual business processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation
• Gather requirements from operational, technical and business stakeholders
• Design and develop Power Apps solutions to digitise forms, inspections, checklists and operational processes
• Create scoring mechanisms, validation rules, business logic and workflow hierarchies within Power Apps
• Develop SharePoint-based landing pages and user interfaces for accessing digital forms and information
• Build structured SharePoint repositories for storing and managing completed records and documentation
• Configure Power Automate workflows to support notifications, approvals, escalations and process automation
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to provide visibility of operational performance and compliance metrics
• Ensure solutions are optimised for tablet and mobile device usage in field-based environments
• Produce technical and user documentation
• Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal users and administrators
• Provide recommendations for future development, governance and platform adoption

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience delivering solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
• Proven expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)
• Experience developing solutions within SharePoint Online
• Strong knowledge of Power Automate workflows and process automation
• Experience creating reporting solutions and dashboards using Power BI
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Experience delivering end-to-end digitisation and process improvement projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience developing mobile and tablet-based applications
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams

Desirable Experience

• Dataverse experience
• Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or operational environments
• Experience digitising inspection, audit, compliance or operational forms
• Understanding of governance, security and best practices across Microsoft Power Platform
• Experience delivering user training and platform adoption initiatives

Key Deliverables By the end of the engagement, the successful consultant will have:

• Delivered a fully operational digital forms platform
• Digitised existing manual and document-based processes
• Developed mobile-friendly applications for field users
• Established a structured SharePoint repository for records management
• Automated key workflows and approval processes
• Implemented Power BI dashboards and operational reporting
• Completed documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams
