Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, Merseyside, UK
Salary: £95 per day 

Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives 
(12 weeks temporary work which can lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks).

The School is an independent 39-week specialist day provision for boys and girls, aged between 5 and 11 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

We also work with a range of education settings across Wirral.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
Assisting children with reading and literacy tasks
Preparing classrooms for lessons and activities
Working with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including children with additional needs
Creating displays of children’s work
Supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour
Helping children on school trips and during group activities
Listening to children read, telling stories, and providing extra support as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months' experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or similar settings
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
