Job Title: SEN Classroom Assistant – Children’s Education

Job Description:

In this role, you will support children with personal care, help manage behavioural challenges, and nurture students within various educational settings across Wirral. Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with personal care and behavioural needs
Assisting teachers and SENCOs in developing and implementing behaviour management strategies
Providing targeted support to pupils with diverse needs, including special educational needs (SEN)
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Collaborating with school staff to support individual education plans

Requirements:

Genuine interest in working with children and young people
Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care/education sector
Knowledge or experience in PMLD or similar environments is desirable but not essential
Willingness to undertake training and development opportunities
Proactive work ethic and a patient, understanding attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
