Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £230 per day(outside IR35)

Job Type: 5-month contract

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to provide high-quality support to a Data Centre project as well at the BAU team.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Centre Migration

• Provide resource for the data centre migration project.


• Configure / install new equipment in the new data centre.


• Configure / install new equipment in the Rampton data centre.


• Decommission legacy equipment in the DMH data centre.


• Decommission legacy equipment in the Rampton data centre.


• Configure / install standalone DMH network.

Wireless

• Migrate the remaining access points from the 5500 series WLCs.


• Migrate anchor services from the 5500 series WLCs.


• Decommission the eighteen legacy 5500 series WLCs. Security - Complete by July 2026


• Upgrade the FortiGate firewalls to the latest recommended version.


• Decommission legacy Cisco ASA firewalls.

BAU support requirement

• Support the team with daily service checks, service requests, and incidents.


• Support the team with their existing project work:


• ISE Migration


• Infoblox Migration


• Support the team with general maintenance such as upgrades of the network, security, and wireless infrastructure.
