Job Description:
An established Primary Academy in the Wirral is seeking a dedicated Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils facing barriers to learning.

This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant primary school environment, contributing to the development and wellbeing of children across various year groups and provision areas, including the EYFS and specialist settings.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (ANTA) Level 2 based in the Wirral your daily duties will include:

Providing targeted and general classroom support to pupils with additional needs.
Working closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
Supporting children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Assisting in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils across different year groups and settings.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Relevant primary school experience, with a strong understanding of children’s educational development.
A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience working with children with special educational needs.
Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding policies.
