Our growing client is looking for a Fieldwork Operations Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day delivery of fieldwork operations, facility activity, and cross-team coordination. You’ll play a key role in embedding best practice, ensuring continuity across projects, and keeping everything running efficiently from planning to wrap-up. This is a chance to step further into leadership, shape operational standards, and grow within a supportive, collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
• Manage capacity across the fieldwork team, delegating work and supporting Execs and Senior Execs
• Line manage junior colleagues, providing regular feedback, coaching, and clear development pathways
• Lead fieldwork onsite and offsite, maintaining high standards across hosting, preparation, logistics, and participant experience (some evenings required)
• Oversee facility and equipment processes, from booking systems to upkeep and maintenance, driving efficiency and resolving issues
• Manage casual staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and payment, ensuring consistent quality and best practice
• Monitor attendance, quotas, incentives, and KPIs, reporting trends and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Act as a role model across teams, supporting collaboration and promoting strong operational practice
• Support commercial activity by creating quotes, managing facility bookings, and contributing to promotional efforts where needed
About You
• Experience in fieldwork or research operations, with strong project management and coordination skills
• Organised, adaptable, and confident leading multiple projects and supporting others
• Previous people-management experience, or ready to step into a leadership role
• Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused
• Based near Leeds with a full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Some evening fieldwork is required. Time off in lieu will be provided.

Driving: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role. The successful candidate will travel between the client's two office locations during the working day, as well as travelling to fieldwork locations across the region. Public transport is not a practical option for the required travel between locations.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the role.

If you require a reasonable adjustment at any stage of the recruitment process, please let your Hannelius Recruitment consultant know. We will work with you and our client to make appropriate arrangements and ensure that requesting an adjustment does not disadvantage you in the recruitment process.
Where we identify a client requirement that may unnecessarily restrict access to a role, we will discuss this with the client where appropriate.
