About the role
A Mechanical Assembler to join a bespoke manufacturing specialist in Portsmouth, assembling mechanical components to drawings and specifications, working a 4-day week (36 hours) at £22,500–£27,000 per year.
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our client's team who specialise in bespoke manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to specifications and drawings. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble mechanical components according to drawings and specifications.
• Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Test mechanical assemblies to ensure proper functionality.
• Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimise assembly procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Assist in the training and development of new assemblers.
In return the company offers a 4 day working week based over 36 hours, and can offer further training.
Due to the nature of the company's work you will need to complete a police check.
