Job Description

Posted on: October 14, 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Executive to join an international law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Working within the Clients and Markets team, you will support the development of the firm’s Financial Institutions and Services (FIS) sector and Corporate Finance & Tax (CFT) practice. This is a varied role with a strong focus on data management, CRM, credentials and business development infrastructure, helping to drive new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with professional services experience who enjoys working with data, improving processes and using technology to deliver smarter, more efficient ways of working.

‍

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and developing business development data, knowledge bases and credentials databases, ensuring information is accurate, complete and consistently recorded.

• Establishing processes to gather credentials and other key information from partners and lawyers.

• Managing CRM data, sales pipelines and targeted mailing lists across the relevant sector and practice group.

• Tracking transactions and deal completions to support pitches, credentials, PR and awards submissions.

• Preparing submissions for external platforms, including Global Data, Mergermarket and Experian.

• Developing templates, materials and tracking systems, including referral and third-party tracking.

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI tools and more efficient data management.

• Ensuring client information is accurate across key systems to support financial, relationship and pipeline reporting.

• Analysing financial and business data to identify trends and support decision-making.

• Supporting the Senior BD Manager and Senior BD Executive with strategic client plans and wider business development initiatives.

• Working collaboratively with the wider BD team, including bids, events and corporate communications, as well as supporting other sectors and practice groups where required.

‍

Job Requirements

We are looking for an organised, analytical and proactive individual who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and enjoys finding better ways to manage information and processes.

‍

• Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment.

• Experience of data collection, management and maintaining accurate databases.

• Excellent attention to detail, with strong written communication and grammatical skills.

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Copilot or other approved AI tools.

• An interest in using AI, automation and intelligent workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.

• Good organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.

• Numerical and analytical ability, including confidence working with financial data and identifying trends.

• A positive, self-motivated and collaborative approach, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.

• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn, develop new skills and contribute ideas.
