About the Role

• Main Dealer
• Based in Gillingham, Kent
• £40k Guaranteed (£32.5k Basic Salary + Bonus)
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM to 5.30PM + 1 Saturday Morning Per Month

Monday Matters Recruitment is working with a well established main dealer in Gillingham, Kent to recruit a Vehicle Service Technician to join their busy aftersales team. This is a great opportunity to join a professional dealership offering a competitive salary, monthly bonus potential and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive workshop environment.   The Role As a Vehicle Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on vehicles.
• Completing vehicle health checks and identifying any additional work required.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where necessary.
• Working efficiently to meet workshop targets and deadlines.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

About You:

• A genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• A willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• A relevant automotive qualification or previous workshop experience would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.

You will ideally have: Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician Strong vehicle preparation and paint application skills Experience with modern paint systems and refinishing techniques Excellent attention to detail The ability to consistently produce a high-quality finish Good colour-matching and blending skills The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment A reliable and professional approach to work The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or ATA would be advantageous, although proven experience and ability are more important.
