Job Description

Mechanical Project Engineer

On behalf of our client in South Down, Energis is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team, working within the installation, commissioning, and service teams.

The successful candidate will support projects from initial technical assessment through installation and commissioning, working closely with customers, manufacturers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret client project requirements
• Liaise with manufacturers and engineers to develop technical crane solutions
• Assess site conditions and advise on structural and electrical requirements
• Carry out site surveys and support equipment ordering and production planning
• Coordinate installation logistics, access equipment, and site requirements
• Assist with risk assessments, commissioning, and handover documentation
• Provide technical support for service, inspection, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Qualification or background in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Previous experience working with heaving /industrial machinery
• Basic understanding of electrical systems is desirable
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work on-site

Salary is in the region of £40-50k depending on experience, a company car will be provided for site visits.
