The Opportunity

Our client is a growing façade specialist based in Basildon, delivering high-quality façade and cladding solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Design Coordinator with a strong background in façades to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to play a key role in delivering technically challenging façade packages from design through to installation.

As Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating façade design activities across multiple projects. You will work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure designs are delivered accurately, on programme, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• check_circle Coordinate façade and cladding design packages from pre-construction through to delivery
• check_circle Review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical details
• check_circle Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors
• check_circle Manage design programmes, RFIs, approvals, and technical submissions
• check_circle Ensure compliance with current building regulations and industry standards
• check_circle Coordinate design changes and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
• check_circle Attend design team meetings and site visits where required
• check_circle Support project delivery teams to ensure smooth installation and successful project outcomes

About You

• check_circle Previous experience in a Design Coordinator role within the façade, cladding, curtain walling, or building envelope sector
• check_circle Strong understanding of façade systems and construction detailing
• check_circle Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• check_circle Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors
• check_circle Good knowledge of relevant UK building regulations and façade compliance requirements
• check_circle Proficient in Microsoft Office and common construction/design software
• check_circle Excellent communication and organisational skills
• check_circle Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
