About The Role

As a Missing and EFH Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the safeguarding of children and young people who are reported missing. Your day-to-day work will involve coordinating information from a range of partner agencies, monitoring missing episodes, identifying patterns, risks and emerging concerns, and ensuring that appropriate interventions are implemented.

You will work closely with Children's Services, Surrey Police, education providers, health partners and commissioned services to support effective multi-agency responses. Responsibilities include reviewing missing episodes and return home interview information, maintaining accurate records and performance data, preparing reports, supporting meetings and panels, and escalating safeguarding concerns where necessary.

The role requires strong analytical and organisational skills, as you will be responsible for tracking outcomes, identifying opportunities to reduce missing incidents, and contributing to the development of strategies that improve the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. You will balance routine monitoring and reporting responsibilities with responding to emerging risks and supporting wider safeguarding initiatives across East Surrey, to strengthen the local response to children and young people who go missing, working alongside the Central Hubs
