šĀ Looking to start your career in Software Engineering?
Iām hiring aĀ Junior Test Software EngineerĀ for an established UK software company building finance and procurement platforms used by major public-sector organisations.
This isnāt a traditional manual testing role. Youāll beĀ writing code in Java, building automated tests and working across APIs, databases and web applications within a real production engineering environment.
Key focus:
ā Build automated tests usingĀ Java & Selenium
ā Test APIs usingĀ Rest Assured
ā Work withĀ SQL, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG & Git
ā Investigate failures and work closely with developers
ā Help maintain and improve existing automation frameworks
This would suit someone early in their career with aĀ Computer Science / Software Engineering backgroundĀ who enjoys coding, problem solving and wants strong hands-on engineering experience.
You donāt need to know every testing framework already ā strongĀ Java fundamentals, OOP knowledge and a willingness to learnĀ are much more important.
