As a Support Worker in the nursing home, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will provide hands-on assistance with daily activities, foster meaningful connections, and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents. Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.
- Participate in recreational activities and encourage residents to engage in social interactions.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being to the nursing team.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated caregiving team.
- Basic knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
