Mid-Weight Designer (£24 – 28k)

In order to fulfil the requirements of this exciting opportunity we are looking for an individual who would describe themselves as …..

Energetic and experienced, with an unrivalled passion for art and 3 to 5 years professional experience.

Working on the development of art collections, you will be involved in every stage of the creative process from initial research and concept presentations through to artwork set up for print. So a love of the technical side of design is equally as important as artistic skills.

You will be:

Ideally qualified to degree level in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Textile Design or similar college course. (However applications will be considered from candidates who’s CV clearly demonstrates an equivalent  level of professional knowledge).
Minimum 3yrs+ experience in a Mac-based studio/print/creative environment.
Strong  Adobe Creative Suite skills but with a continuous learning mindset
A portfolio that demonstrates a creative eye for colour, composition and imaginative thinking.
Hand painting / drawing skills would be really advantageous
IT literate with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel to a basic level,  Word, Outlook &PowerPoint)
Good working knowledge of digital printing
Methodical, organised and accurate working style
Ability to work at pace and deliver multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Able to remain calm in a busy working environment and concentrate under pressure
Strong communication skills – able to build effective working relationships with other departments and ensure that internal processes are maintained and improved
Deadline driven
Positive, team-oriented, passionate about art and design full of ideas and inspiration
