The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a General Medicine Consultant to support a service in the North West England. This locum opportunity has arisen due to sickness cover and offers a 3-month contract starting 26th October 2026.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care within a busy acute hospital setting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality care to patients within a General Medicine setting
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and complex medical presentations
• Support inpatient services and contribute to efficient patient care pathways
• Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in clinical decision-making and escalation where appropriate
• Contribute to a safe, effective, and patient-focused service

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Entry on the Specialist Register or equivalent experience
• Recent NHS experience within General Medicine
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
