About the Role
As a Water Sampling Technician, you will be responsible for collecting water samples from a range of locations including treatment works, reservoirs, and customer properties. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring that water quality standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all sampling activities in line with Scientific Services Quality Manual and procedures
- Follow a pre-determined sampling programme across Suffolk
- Plan and organise your daily workload to ensure samples are returned to the laboratory within set timescales
- Perform daily maintenance and calibration of sampling and testing equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
- Accurately complete all paperwork and documentation within agreed timeframes
- Participate in standby, weekend, and rota duties where required
About You
- Previous water sampling or field-based experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is essential
- Enjoy working outdoors, travelling independently, and interacting with a variety of people
- Reliable, organised, and motivated to deliver high-quality work
