Teachining Assistant Lvl 2

PK Education is looking for an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne. Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children build confidence and make progress, with the potential to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson preparation.

• Provide individual and small-group support to help pupils access learning.

• Support literacy and numeracy development.

• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and engagement.

• Adapt support for pupils with additional learning needs.

• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom.

Requirements:

• A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

• Experience supporting primary-aged children, ideally within KS2.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.

• A patient, reliable and proactive approach.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
