Teaching Assistant (TA) – EYFS/KS1

Location: DN12
Days: Part-time, Wednesday to Friday (3 days per week)
Provide Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a school in the DN12 area, supporting pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping young children thrive, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

The Role

• Provide support to pupils across EYFS and KS1, including children with a range of SEND needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.
• Offer individual and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Support children’s communication, social skills, emotional regulation and independence.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt support to meet pupils’ individual needs and learning styles.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children in EYFS and/or KS1.
• Has experience supporting children with SEND, or a genuine willingness to learn.
• Is patient, nurturing, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
