Great Sankey, Warrington Sustainable Talent Principal Design Engineer - Temporary Works £(Apply online only)/day 12-Month Contract We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Design Engineer - Temporary Works to join a growing engineering and infrastructure business supporting major energy and utility projects across the UK. The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for temporary works and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities * Lead temporary works design reviews and approvals. * Act as the Temporary Works Design Authority. * Ensure compliance with BS 5975 and relevant engineering standards. * Review complex calculations, drawings and technical submissions. * Support project teams through planning and construction phases. * Manage technical risks and engineering assurance activities. * Mentor and develop junior engineers. * Support tenders and innovative construction methodologies. Requirements * Chartered Engineer (CEng). * Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. * Extensive temporary works design and management experience. * Strong knowledge of BS 5975 and Eurocodes. * Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
