About the role

Information Management Manager/Lead - £650 per day - Inside IR35 - 2 days a week on site in central London - 6 months initial contract.

We are recruiting for an experienced Information Management Manager to join a major UK nuclear new build organisation, supporting the delivery of one of the countrys most significant infrastructure programmes.

This is a senior management opportunity within the Digital function, responsible for translating strategic direction into an integrated Information Management operating model, overseeing the enterprise IM service and driving consistent governance, standards and ways of working across the organisation.

Working closely with the Digital Senior Leadership Team, you will provide direction to the IM Lead and wider team, ensuring the organisation has the capability, capacity and processes required to deliver an effective Information Management service.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Translate the Digital strategy into an integrated Information Management operating model and associated delivery roadmap.
  • Manage the enterprise Information Management service, ensuring consistent governance, standards and controls across programmes, functions and the supply chain.
  • Set delivery objectives for the IM Lead and wider team, monitoring performance and providing direction on priorities, resources, risks and improvement activities.
  • Oversee organisational IM capability, capacity and professional standards, ensuring the central IM team is appropriately supported.
  • Represent Information Management at senior governance and assurance forums, supporting the Digital Senior Leadership Team and resolving cross-programme issues within delegated authority.
  • Provide consolidated performance, risk, compliance and maturity reporting, escalating material issues and strategic decisions where required.
  • Build effective relationships with programme leaders, functional stakeholders, delivery partners and suppliers to drive adoption of agreed IM requirements.
  • Promote Information Management best practices across the organisation, increasing awareness and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the delivery of the IM programme plan, ensuring key workstreams are implemented through effective stakeholder engagement and business change practices.

Skills & Experience Required -

  • Significant experience in Information Management, ideally within nuclear, energy, engineering, construction or major infrastructure environments.
  • Proven experience managing an enterprise-level Information Management function or service across complex, multi-disciplinary organisations.
  • Experience translating strategic objectives into operational plans, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Information Management governance, standards, assurance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing and developing Information Management teams, including providing direction to senior team members and delivery leads.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership, programme teams, suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Experience overseeing performance reporting, risk management, resource planning and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of digital information management platforms, document management systems and information lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and Information Management practices within complex engineering or infrastructure environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence organisational change and promote consistent ways of working.

The Opportunity -

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the operational direction and performance of Information Management within a major UK nuclear new build programme.
You will play an important role in strengthening organisational Information Management capability, improving service maturity and ensuring information is governed and managed effectively throughout the programme lifecycle.
