Portfolio Lead- IT Projects

A large, nationally recognised organisation is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of technology projects and programmes.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee a team of project professionals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. With responsibility for a project portfolio valued at approximately £5m, this is a key leadership role driving technology-enabled change across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of IT Project Managers
• Govern and manage the delivery of a complex portfolio of IT projects.
• Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Drive effective project initiation, risk management, change control, and quality assurance.
• Manage third-party supplier relationships and project-related budgets.

About You

• Proven experience managing a portfolio of IT projects and programmes.
• Previous end to end leadership experience managing project managers.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience delivering complex technology change initiatives.
• PRINCE 2 Practitioner certified or equivalent.
