SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school setting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping pupils with additional needs thrive both academically and personally.

You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs throughout the school day. As a result, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Furthermore, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the tailored support they need to succeed.

The role:

• Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant position
• Monday to Friday
• Immediate start available
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Assisting pupils with their learning, development and engagement
• Working closely with teachers and support staff
• Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate:

• Must have previous experience working within a SEND school setting
• Must have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
• Able to build strong and positive relationships with pupils
• Patient, adaptable and resilient in their approach
• Confident supporting pupils with varying levels of need
• Reliable and committed to a full-time position

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
