Sweeper/3.5 Driver

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Sweeper / 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 3.5 tonne vehicle, carrying out sweeping and cleaning duties, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across designated sites and areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Carry out road, pavement, car park and site sweeping duties as required.
• Ensure all assigned areas are kept clean, tidy and free from litter and debris.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure equipment is used correctly and kept clean and in good working order.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete daily work records and any required paperwork.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete scheduled tasks.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and members of the public.
• Report any hazards, damage or issues identified while working.

Essential Requirements

• Full, clean UK driving licence, with no current penalty points preferred.
• Experience driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle.
• Previous sweeping, cleaning or grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good awareness of road safety and health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties.
• Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Working Conditions

• Work will involve driving and outdoor cleaning duties in various weather conditions.
• Some manual handling and physical activity will be required.
• Working hours and locations will be confirmed by the employer.
