Permanent Recruitment Consultant - Industrial Division

Thorn Baker’s Industrial division is looking for a motivated and ambitious Permanent Recruitment Consultant to grow our permanent recruitment offering.

Specialising in warehouse, manufacturing and industrial recruitment, you’ll fill permanent vacancies for our established client base while taking our services to market and building relationships with new businesses. This is an opportunity to combine candidate recruitment, client relationship management and business development within a successful, supportive team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the permanent recruitment process from taking a detailed vacancy brief through to placement and follow-up.

• Working with our existing client base to understand their permanent hiring needs and identify opportunities to support them.

• Sourcing, attracting and assessing high-quality candidates for warehouse, manufacturing and industrial roles.

• Presenting suitable candidates, coordinating interviews and managing feedback, offers and acceptance.

• Proactively approaching new businesses to introduce Thorn Baker’s permanent recruitment services.

• Developing new business through targeted calls, outreach, networking and client meetings.

• Building a strong pipeline of vacancies, candidates and prospective clients.

• Working alongside our wider Industrial team to identify and develop permanent recruitment opportunities.

• Maintaining accurate records and keeping clients and candidates informed throughout the hiring process.

What We’re Looking For

• An ambitious, commercially minded individual with a genuine desire to build a successful recruitment career.

• Confidence in approaching businesses, starting conversations and developing new relationships.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand both client requirements and candidate motivations.

• A proactive approach to sourcing candidates and identifying business opportunities.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several vacancies at different stages.

• Resilience, drive and a positive attitude towards working in a target-driven environment.

• A team player who takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments.

• Previous experience in permanent recruitment, business development or sales would be an advantage.
