Location: Near Datchet
Rate: £17.00-£20.00 per hour + holiday pay (DOE)
Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent
Working Pattern: 5 days in the office, with flexibility to move to 4 days for the right person

We’re recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team. This is a high-volume role managing a large customer ledger, so we’re looking for someone with a strong accounting background and solid reconciliation experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a ledger of approximately 700-800 customer accounts
• Chase outstanding debt via phone and email
• Complete detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Investigate aged debt and identify solutions to recover outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Use Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Work closely with the wider finance team and support with accounting duties where required

About you

• 5-10 years’ Credit Control experience
• Strong accounting background with proven account reconciliation experience
• Comfortable managing a high-volume ledger of 700-800 accounts
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Hardworking and willing to prove yourself in a new role
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team

This is an immediate-start temporary position with genuine potential to become permanent for the right person. The initial requirement is 5 days in the office, with flexibility to move to 4 days for someone who demonstrates they can manage the workload effectively.
