About the role
Job Title: Class 2 Refuse Driver
Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Ongoing – 5 days per week
Pay Rate: £16.62 – £18.63 per hour
We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client’s waste management team in Gloucester. This is a great opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers looking for steady, long-term work with competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
- Collect waste along designated routes, maintaining schedules
- Complete vehicle pre-checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
- Interact courteously with the public and site personnel where required
- Follow all Health & Safety and waste collection protocols
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Driver CPC / DQC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR10 endorsements)
- Previous refuse collection or commercial driving experience preferred
- Good physical fitness (some manual handling required)
- Positive, team-player attitude with strong communication skills
- Minimum 12 months HGV Driving experience
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 6.45am-5.00pm
- 37hr week
