Midweight Visual Designer – Brand & Art Direction

Salary: Up to £50,000 + discretionary bonus

Working with some of the most ambitious start-ups, scale-ups and disruptive brands across fintech, technology, consumer apps and e-commerce, this is a genuinely exciting time to join a growing creative team where great ideas are encouraged, talented people are given real ownership and progression can happen quickly. They're looking for a Midweight Visual Designer with exceptional creative taste, a brilliant eye for typography and a genuine passion for art direction. We're open to designers from branding, creative, digital or performance backgrounds. What matters is outstanding design craft, the ability to deliver exceptional static creative at pace and a curiosity for emerging AI tools.   The Role Working alongside an experienced creative team, you'll:

• Develop creative concepts, visual identities and distinctive design treatments.
• Produce beautifully crafted static design across branding, digital campaigns, paid social, landing pages and presentations.
• Create moodboards, visual references and compelling design directions.
• Bring strong art direction and visual storytelling to a variety of creative briefs.
• Apply exceptional attention to typography, composition, colour, hierarchy and detail.
• Explore different visual styles and aesthetics, adapting your approach to different brands and audiences.
• Collaborate with strategists, copywriters and creatives to develop and execute ideas.
• Experiment with emerging AI creative tools, including Weavy, Flora and similar platforms.

What We're Looking For

• Ideally 3–5 years' experience within a creative, branding, digital, integrated or design agency.
• An outstanding portfolio demonstrating creative taste, typography, art direction, conceptual thinking and range.
• A genuine appreciation of typography, including typeface selection, typographic hierarchy, spacing, kerning, tracking and layout.
• An interest in type designers, foundries and how typography shapes brand identity and personality.
• Strong creative judgement and the ability to explain why a particular visual treatment works.
• The ability to develop moodboards, visual worlds and distinctive creative directions.
• Excellent proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Curiosity about AI design tools and how they can support creative exploration and execution.
• Someone who actively seeks inspiration through Pinterest, Are.na, design studios, publications and other visual reference libraries.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Motion design is not required. This is a role for an exceptional static graphic designer with strong creative instincts and a real appreciation of design craft. What's on Offer
