Weighbridge Operator

Cheddington, Buckinghamshire WasteRecruit Ltd Weighbridge Operator Salary: £(phone number removed) Hours: Full-time, part-time or school hours considered Waste King is an established, independently owned waste management and recycling business. Due to continued growth and internal progression, they are looking for a Weighbridge, Transport & Yard Administrator to join the team at their busy recycling facility in Cheddington. The weighbridge is at the centre of the site’s day-to-day operation. This is a varied role combining administration, customer service, vehicle coordination, and communication with the yard. You will be responsible for: * Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle movements and weights. * Processing waste transfer notes, licences and compliance documentation. * Booking and coordinating outbound collections. * Monitoring scheduled vehicles and following up delays or cancellations. * Welcoming customers, drivers and suppliers to the site. * Keeping drivers informed about delays and site arrangements. * Maintaining accurate records for invoicing, auditing and compliance. * Communicating with the yard to help manage vehicle movements safely. * Completing general administration, reporting and data entry. The site can become busy, with several vehicles arriving and different tasks competing for attention. You will need to stay organised, maintain accuracy and communicate confidently with drivers, customers, suppliers and colleagues. We are looking for someone who is: * Organised, accurate and comfortable managing several tasks. * Confident using computers, email, and Microsoft Office. * Friendly and professional, but able to be firm when procedures must be followed. * Proactive about chasing information and following tasks through. * Comfortable working independently while remaining part of a close-knit team. * Willing to learn about waste documentation, transport coordination, and site operations. Previous experience in administration, transport, logistics, customer service or weighbridge operations would be useful, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
