About the role

Salary: £9.18 per hour
Location: Council House and Hybrid
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Flexible between 8:30am and 5pm
Contract Type: Fixed Term for 24 months
DBS Requirement: Enhanced Adult and Child Barred List

The Opportunity

We are offering an Apprenticeship in our School Organisation and Provision Team including a Business Administration Level 3 qualification. On completion there may be the possibility of a permanent position within the team.

What you’ll be doing
The School Organisation and Provision Team (SO&P) currently provides a wide range of integrated commissioning and delivery services across the following statutory functions:
• Early Years Childcare and Families Information
• Home to School Travel
• School Admissions and Appeals
• Schools Capital and Assets
• School Place Planning
• Derby SEND Information & Advice Support Service (SENDIASS)

About you
We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking person to initially join our busy Home to School Travel team with potential for working across the wider SO&P. You will need to be enthusiastic with a professional outlook, positive attitude to work, self-motivated, work as part of a team and focused on achieving your goals and aspirations with a commitment to your own personal development. You will have the opportunity of a mixed working week predominately based in the Council House and some time working from home.

Essential requirements:
• Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 and above (A – C) or equivalent.
• Good IT Skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Practical approach.
• Ability to understand basic legislative requirements.
