Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader position at Byker Lodge Resource Centre on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers an excellent development opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about supporting people, leading teams, and driving high-quality care.

As a Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of the service, providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff while ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.

• You will Lead and support staff during shifts.
• Promote person-centred care and positive outcomes.
• Support medication management and care planning processes.
• Assist with staff supervisions, appraisals, inductions, and competency assessments.
• Act as a role model for values-based practice.
• Support compliance with CQC standards, council policies, and health and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with families, health professionals, and partner agencies.
