Quarry Manager (Internal Applicants Only)
Stainton Quarry, Maltby, S66 7RH
Competitive Salary plus benefits
We're proud of what has been achieved at our Stainton Quarry, and as our current Quarry Manager prepares for retirement, we're now looking for a Quarry Manager to join the team and build on the strong foundations already in place.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a key operation, build on an already successful site and bring your own leadership style, ideas and experience to its future development. You'll be joining a well-established team and playing a pivotal role in ensuring the quarry continues to operate safely, efficiently and successfully for years to come.
Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions, develop people and make a lasting impact on the future of the operation.
So, what's the mission?
You'll be the strategic and operational lead for our Stainton (Maltby) site, creating an environment where safety comes first, people are supported to perform at their best and high standards are embedded in everyday operations. Working closely with our Head of Minerals, you'll oversee all aspects of the operation, from production, budgets and resources through to long-term planning, helping to ensure the continued success of the site.
Compliance with Quarry Regulations, environmental permits and company standards will sit at the heart of the role, alongside ensuring the reliability and performance of both fixed and mobile plant. A focus on continuous improvement will be equally important, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste and maximise the value of site assets, while leading investment and improvement projects that support the long-term success of the operation.
People leadership will be a key part of your role. Building capability, encouraging collaboration and creating an environment where colleagues can thrive will be just as important as delivering operational performance. Strong relationships with colleagues, trade union representatives, contractors and external stakeholders will help ensure a positive culture and the continued success of the site.
What are the mission-critical skills?
We're looking for an experienced leader who combines technical expertise with strong people leadership and a proven ability to deliver results within a demanding operational environment.
