A quick look at the role

We are looking for a reliable, proactive and safety-conscious Logistics Operator to join our team at our polymers facility in Redcar.

This is a hands-on operational role supporting the safe and efficient movement, storage and handling of materials across the site. You’ll play an important part in ensuring vehicles are loaded and unloaded efficiently, materials are stored in the correct locations, and weighbridge operations and associated documentation are completed accurately.

Working as part of a wider operational team, you’ll help maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and product quality, while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day site activities.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently, carrying out daily safety inspections and reporting any defects, while supporting the loading and unloading of vehicles.

  • Operate the weighbridge, complete relevant documentation, ensure materials are directed to the correct storage locations and take samples when required.

  • Carry out checks on product storage silos, maintain good housekeeping across the yard and material storage areas, and ensure plant and equipment remain clean and safe.

  • Follow all health and safety procedures, wear the correct PPE, report hazards and near misses, and participate in toolbox talks and relevant operational training.

Our Essential Requirements

  • Experience operating a forklift truck in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environment, with a recognised FLT qualification or licence.

  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures, safe material handling and the importance of maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow operational procedures, complete basic documentation accurately and work effectively in a busy site environment.

This role is open to internal applicants only.
