Type: Temporary Contract (Client Side)
Location: Bolton
Remuneration: £400 - £420 per day (Inside)
Start Date: Immediate/TBC
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee an office refurbishment project in Bolton, Lancashire. This is a client-side position suited to a proactive project professional with strong NEC knowledge and stakeholder management skills. You will be required to take ownership of project delivery, coordinating contractors, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of an office refurbishment project, from planning and coordination through to completion and handover.
- Act as the client-side representative, maintaining effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate project programmes, resources, risks and budgets, ensuring milestones and commitments are met.
- Communicate project updates clearly, adapting your approach to different audiences and managing expectations effectively.
- Identify potential issues and implement practical solutions to maintain progress and improve project outcomes.
- Monitor performance, quality and compliance, ensuring the project meets the clients requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline is desirable. (essential)
- Proven experience delivering refurbishment or construction projects, ideally within commercial office environments.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial frameworks.
- Previous client-side Project Management experience, with the confidence to represent the clients interests and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to analyse information, manage competing priorities and take ownership of delivery.
