Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisor – Barnsley

Location: Barnsley
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £100–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

PK Education are working with a Barnsley secondary school who are looking to appoint a permanent Cover Supervisor.

This is a school-based role where you’ll become part of the wider staff team, rather than moving around on day-to-day supply. The school are looking for someone reliable, confident, and able to lead classrooms across a range of subjects.

The school itself has strong behaviour systems and visible support from senior leadership, giving Cover Supervisors clear backing when needed.

You’ll be delivering pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students stay engaged and classrooms remain purposeful during teacher absence.

This role suits someone who:

• Has experience working with young people
• Can confidently manage behaviour and maintain standards
• Is considering a future career in teaching or pastoral support
• Wants consistency within one school setting

The school are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in coaching, youth work, behaviour support, or mentoring.

Apply now or get in touch with PK Education to find out more.
