About the role

Join Enfield Heights Academy as our After School Care Leader and help make every afternoon enjoyable, safe and full of opportunities for children to learn and grow. You’ll organise fun, engaging activities, lead the after-school team and make sure every child feels welcome, supported and included. If you enjoy working with children and creating a positive environment where they can play, build friendships and develop new skills, we’d love to hear from you!

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can create a fun, safe and welcoming environment where they feel happy, supported and included. You’ll be organised, approachable and confident in planning activities that keep children interested, encourage creativity and help them build friendships and new skills.

You should have experience working with primary-aged children, supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs and promoting positive behaviour. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues and parents are important.

A Level 3 qualification in childcare, playwork, early years or a relevant area is required, or a willingness to work towards one. You’ll also need a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, along with a Paediatric First Aid qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate, or a willingness to complete the relevant training.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is caring, reliable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children enjoy their time after school and making sure every child feels valued.
