About the role
Are you dedicated to transforming the educational outcomes for vulnerable students through bespoke support pathways? Join us as a PLC Coordinator, where you will lead the management of the Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) and strategically identify and deliver alternative courses and intervention strategies relevant to specific student cohorts. This role requires a proactive approach to multi-agency collaboration, a passion for mentoring, and a focus on removing barriers to learning.
Working as part of the personalised learning support team, you will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students with a view to achieving full integration back into mainstream school. This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right candidate.
You will work closely with SLT and the Academy Inclusion Team to manage the PLC and provide appropriate and personalised timetables for individual students and groups. You will also deliver alternative courses to cohorts of students to provide them with relevant qualifications.
This role may appeal to Higher Level Teaching Assistants or KS1,2 or 3 aspiring teachers.
As part of a growing multi-academy trust, the successful candidate will be well supported and have access to a range of high quality professional development through the Outwood Institute of Education.
You will identify student cohorts for the alternative curriculum and deliver relevant courses to provide them with necessary qualifications. A core component of the role is extensive external liaison, acting as the single point of contact for accessing specialist support services such as the Social and Youth Services, the Education Welfare Service, and the Probation Service. You will develop and implement time-bound action plans with SMART targets to remove barriers to learning, establish and maintain supportive mentoring relationships, and undertake necessary student testing (e.g., Lucid).
The role involves supporting and encouraging pupils toward further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
