The Role As a Secondary English Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential Key Stage 5 teaching. Teach a broad curriculum covering English Language, Literature, reading and writing. Inspire students to develop a genuine passion for English and wider reading. Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development. Encourage critical thinking, creativity and effective communication. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported. Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive and forward-thinking English department. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have: A degree in English, English Literature or a related subject. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A passion for teaching English and inspiring young people. The ability to create engaging, challenging and accessible lessons. A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing and development of students.
