Teaching Assistant

Our vibrant secondary schools across Maghull are seeking sharp, hands-on Secondary Teaching Assistants (TAs) to assist subject leaders and guide Key Stage 3 and 4 students through their coursework.

Key Duties:

• Support individual students and small groups during Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 lessons.
• Help students understand class tasks and stay focused on their learning.
• Maintain a positive, productive environment using calm behaviour strategies.
• Assist the class teacher with setting up learning activities and resources.
• Provide quick, clear feedback to the teacher on student progress at the end of the lesson.

Requirements:

• Recent experience supporting young people in secondary schools, youth work, or care settings.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, resilient approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one with us).
