SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant – Rotherham (S60)
Full-time | Long-term | Starting 2nd November

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Rotherham (S60). This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting 2nd November, supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis within a KS2 classroom.

About the Role
The successful candidate will provide consistent, tailored support to a child with SEND, helping them to access learning and engage positively with the school environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team to ensure the pupil receives the appropriate support throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the pupil with classroom activities, adapting tasks and resources where required, encouraging independence and confidence, and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will also support positive behaviour and follow strategies put in place to meet the pupil’s individual needs.

About You
We are looking for someone who is patient, caring and committed, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working with SEND or providing one-to-one support would be highly desirable, although the right attitude and ability to build a positive relationship with the pupil are equally important.
You should be confident working as part of a wider school team, have strong communication skills and be able to provide consistent support in a busy primary school environment.
