In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the design, development, integration, and architectural oversight of interactive real-time 3D software applications, AR/VR/XR (Augmented/Virtual/Extended) Reality simulation systems, and spatial computing environments. Qualifying experience includes applying computer science principles; designing scalable spatial architectures, data structures, and rendering pipelines; translating mission, customer, and training requirements into technical requirements, user stories, algorithms, data models, and implementable software solutions; and providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary development teams using real-time 3D engines such as Unity. The experience must demonstrate the ability to serve as the primary computational architect and technical coordinator for advanced AR/VR/XR training simulations, including conducting code and design reviews, establishing technical standards, optimizing software and 3D assets for target hardware, managing Agile/Scrum development activities, and coordinating among customers, product owners, artists, programmers, and other stakeholders.
