38 weeks (plus 2 days) per year (term-time, plus two days to be worked in August)
Mon-Thurs 08.00-16.00, Fri 08.00-15.30
Scale 4 (Point 8-9)
Actual salary £24,018-£24,393 per annum (including fringe allowance)
We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to support the learning and academic progress of Sixth Form students. The role involves supervising the Sixth Form Study Centre, providing study support and guidance, developing learning resources, and working closely with staff across the school to promote effective independent learning. The successful candidate will also assist with mentoring initiatives, coordinate external enrichment opportunities, and administer the 16-19 Bursary Scheme in liaison with the Central Finance Team. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a commitment to supporting young people are essential.
Information about the SchoolSt Martin's School is a large co-educational comprehensive school located in Hutton, Brentwood. The school benefits from a pleasant semi-rural environment with agricultural land to the rear. The school, which also includes a large sixth form block, is situated on an open, attractive 30 acre site. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. Hutton is five miles from the M25 and 19 miles from London, which is easily reached by road or train (25 minutes to Liverpool Street Station).
This is a large, but friendly school in which all staff are helped to develop their talents.
