Counterbalance FLT Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Counterbalance Forklift (FLT) Driver to join our clients busy warehouse team 15 mins from Derby Town Centre.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating counterbalance forklifts to handle materials efficiently, ensuring accurate loading and unloading of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring timely delivery of products working within a small dispatch team.

Duties

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or notify maintenance for repairs
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards
• Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean and orderly work areas
• Work within a team members to optimize workflow and meet operational deadlines

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks, specifically counterbalance within an accredited license taken or refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety procedures.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or operating machinery.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7-3.30 pm

Rate: Starting £13.45 ph weekly pay

Overtime at enhanced rates during busy periods.
